Into the Breach is one of my all-time strategy games. It works both on PC and mobile and is an excellent alternative when you have a few minutes or more to spend.
Its premise is simple: You have a board where your and your enemies’ pieces are set and shown. You know both your own AND your enemy’s abilities, coming moves, strengths and weaknesses and thus have full situational awareness of everything that’s going to happen.
And still, it can be a frustratingly challenging game. But also enormously fun and satisfying. I highly recommend it and really deserves its ‘Ultimate game of the year 2018‘ award.
